Welcome Back!

Dear Parents and Carers,

I would like to extend a warm welcome back to everyone!  I trust you all had a relaxing and refreshing summer and feel ready to make the most of the autumn term.  I am delighted to be back at Stockton having completed my secondment to Lillington, an experience which was both challenging and rewarding, however I feel like I have 'come home' and I am excited about working with  our children, families and staff.

It has been lovely to see so many smart children today - all wearing our uniform proudly and all approaching the return to school with excitement and enthusiasm.

We will be sending you termly progress data for your child in advance of parent consultations so that you are updated on a more regular basis.  We will also be offering three parent consultation evenings this year  and an open afternoon at the end of the academic year.  We hope to forge even stronger links with parents and carers as we can achieve more for our children by working together.

We have produced a card of significant dates for this year, which has been sent home, one per family today.  Hopefully this will be a useful reference for everyone.

We seek to have an open door policy so please come and speak to staff if you have any concerns, questions or suggestions.

We wish all our Year 6 leavers the very best of luck for tomorrow as they begin the next phase of their education at Southam College.  We are also very excited to welcome our new children who have joined us in Year 2 and 3...and of course tomorrow is a very big day for our new children starting in Reception... it's also a big day for their mums and dads too!  We look forward to seeing you in the morning!

Once again, can I say how pleased I am to be back and how privileged I feel to serve this community - we have many strengths and the capacity to progress further so that our children can have an excellent, enjoyable education

Here's to an excellent year.
